These are two of the Bandai kits that I placed on an old trophy plaque.  It was a fun weekend build.   Since they were very small and well detailed it was easy to dress them up.

I started with some Model Master enamels for the gray base.   A drop of white added to that same gray allowed me to discolor a few panels to break up the flat look.   a light wash with some brown accent line from Tamiya brought out the panel lines and added a little dirt in a few places.  This was followed up with some pastel chalks to add a little more discoloration and a few dirty areas.  Last but not least I used some artist oils to do some very mild streaking.

The base was was an old trophy that I repurposed.   I painted the acrylic cover with some red for the crystal surface.   Liquid Masking was used to create the crevices and the top was covered with Vallejo flat white.  I allowed some areas of the red to show through.  Footprints in the salt were made by painting the feet on one of the walkers red and pressing them into the white.   The base wasn't great but it added a little context to the walkers.

Overall I was very happy with the end results.  +
