This was a fun little kit that's different from anything I've done before.  It is made by Scale Solutions.

The kit comes with 4 parts.  The base, the sphere, the ion cannon gun and the top of the sentry current.   Cleanup was very easy.   I cut off the tip of the barrel and replaced it with brass rod.  

 

For color I started by airbrushing deep sea blue into all of the crevasses and then dry brushed two different shades of blue on top of that.  The final coat was plain white.  It turned out rather well.

I had some trouble getting the ball current the correct color.  It would be too blue, then too white, and then too gray.  After several attempts to try and correct the color I gave up and left it as it is.  It's not bad, just not what I envisioned.
